2nd Quarter Update!!

 December

We have had so much fun in the month of December!  We set up our classroom Christmas tree, which came with the gift of literature.  Each day we unwrapped a small gift under the tree (which just so happened to be a lovely Christmas story).  We enjoyed a good book and a deeper understanding of the true meaning of Christmas!  We also worked together to create this lovely Christmas wreath for our classroom door!

Sweet Pete's Field Trip

Our Sweet Pete's field trip was like a real live walk through a candy factory!  We had sooooo much fun!  The students made their own candy canes, conducted a science experiment, read a really funny book, and they were even able to see the actual candy factory in action.  The atmosphere felt very magical and I even felt like a little kid again!

Classroom Activities!!

We also had a great time making gingerbread houses, pine cone ornaments and other arts and crafts!

These lovelies were in icing heaven as they made these deliciously gorgeous gingerbread houses.  They all did such a wonderful job working independently, creating their own fancy schmancy designs.  I must give a shout out to Mrs.Ryan, the first grade teacher.  She gave the tip of using a hot glue gun to keep the graham crackers secure on the milk cartons.  That little tip saved lots of tears and made this gingerbread house activity the smoothest by far!  Thanks Mrs. Ryan!!!

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't thank all of the parents that helped make this month so much fun with all of their awesome donations!  Thank you parents!  I must also thank Mrs. Holloman for giving her time and gifts to all of us in Mrs. Williams Kindergarten Class!

The class showed lots of love and gratitude to Mrs. Holloman for all of her help and special gifts!

November / October

I will honestly say that the months of October and November are entangled in my mind.  Part of that is because I got married on October 18, 2015 to this awesome man!  Whoop! Whoop!

However, we still had an awesome couple of months in the classroom!
In November, we had fun reading about "The Little Old Lady Who Wasn't Afraid of Anything"
and conducting a sequence of events activity to go with it.  Each table had to race together  as a team to place the story in order.  They had lots of fun!

Team Work!

Our school also hosted a beautiful Thanksgiving lunch,in which all of the parents and loved ones were invited out to eat with us!

We also had a little fun of our own with our procedural writing activity.  We wrote about how to make pizza and then.......well, of course we had to make it ourselves!

Delicious!

In October we had an awesome field trip experience at Conner's Amazing Acres!  We went through a maze, fed some cows, learned about the farm life, and did a lot of running around!

Phew!  Now we should be all caught up!

Until next time......
